According to a recent Bright MLS report, the nation’s largest multiple listings service determined there were 62 closed real estate sales in Allegany County, Maryland this May, a drop of 10.1 percent over May of last year. The median price of a property was reported as rising by 6 percent, to $160,000.
The median time on the market of properties increased upwards of 25 percent (9 days) this past May, from May, 2025, to 32 days.
Closed sales in May dropped 18.9 percent in Berkely County, West Virginia, from May of 2025, with the 202 properties sold last month gaining 9.8 percent in median price to $328,298 from May of 2025. LIke last year, the median property was on the market in Berkely County for 11 days.
In Garrett County, Maryland, closed sales were up 11.4 percent in MAy, compared to May 2025, with 39 sales being registered. Properties went up in price over May 2025 by 10.6 percent, with a median price of $469,900, but median days on the market went up 18 days to 40 days.
